"Written in free-verse with emotion and deeply felt narrative flow and with a symbolic overlay, and accompanied by evocative sketch-like illustrations, the story focuses on the hope that one human being can share with another even through the darkest of times.  Readers ages 10-16 will respond to this short, hopeful tale which is filled with quiet emotion and is written by one of their own generation with sensitivity and love."

"Your inspiring meditation on the power of kindness and hope over cruelty and despair is gracefully written and affecting.  You evoke both your subject matter and narrator effectively and sensitively.”

"The central metaphor neatly turns the yellow star, a badge of shame, into a symbol of light and determination."

"This lullaby is like a teaspoon of medicine that puts my sister to bed every time.  I love listening to it myself, because it is very relaxing and puts me in a dreamy world."
- Aaron Seth, Author of The Yellow Star

"With Words Provided You can Sing a Lullaby...Loved it!  I enjoyed the unique aspects of this book-the story itself, the art work, and the encouragement to add music...Plus the bonus recipes will please many mother!  Highly recommended...

"It is about time for the Gingerbread Girl!  What is even better is that it is a lullaby that can be sung.  It is entertaining, soothing, and melodic.  Another aspect of the story that I like is that the rhyming is updated.  The illustrations are great, also.  I especially loved "Come back! Come back!"  This is a fresh new take on a classic story.  It is very enjoyable to read to your child again and again."
